Education

Education visits

Education is the single biggest thing we do to reduce drowning. Free sessions covering open water dangers — and how to keep yourself and others safe.

What a visit looks like

We visit schools, clubs and community groups, tailoring content to any age or size. Sessions run 45–60 minutes.

  • Dangers of open water
  • Safe places to have fun and swim
  • Recognising danger signs
  • What to do if you see someone in trouble: Phone, Float, Throw
  • A look at the equipment we use — and some you may find around the river
  • Simple self-rescue, including Float to Live

We don't charge for education delivery, but we do ask for a donation or fundraiser to support our work.
