What we do

Educate. Patrol. Respond.

Three disciplines, one crew. Here’s what each one means on the water.

01 · Educate

Educate

The safest rescue is the one that’s never needed. We deliver free water safety sessions to schools, clubs and community groups across the Tees Valley — open water dangers, cold water shock, and what to do in an emergency: Phone, Float, Throw.

02 · Patrol

Patrol

Prevention is the cheapest rescue there is. We patrol when river use peaks — warm evenings, weekends, riverside events — talking to river users, spotting trouble early, and staying minutes from anyone who needs help.

03 · Respond

Respond

When someone is missing or in difficulty on the water, time matters most. We offer search and rescue capability to the emergency services and the public along the entire navigable Tees — covering banks, structures and open water systematically with our boat Adjutor, recovering people from the river and handing over safely to onward emergency care.
