Tees River Rescue is proud to be an approved RYA (Royal Yachting Association) training centre, offering nationally recognised courses delivered by experienced instructors.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refresh vital skills, our training is designed to be practical, hands-on, and engaging, with a focus on safety, confidence, and competence on and around the water.
Our Available Courses:
- RYA Powerboat Level 2
A two-day course covering the essentials of boat handling, safety, and seamanship. Ideal for beginners or those looking to qualify for work, pleasure or volunteering on the water. - RYA First Aid
A one-day course focused on first aid in marine and remote settings. Includes CPR, cold water shock, drowning, and casualty care afloat — all tailored to real maritime scenarios. - RYA Short Range Certificate (SRC)
This VHF radio course is essential for anyone operating marine radios. Learn how to make emergency calls, routine communications, and use DSC functions with confidence.
